Kitchen Design Features “Found Furniture” Look

Incorporating a piece into your kitchen that doesn’t quite match the style of the rest of the kitchen is a growing trend among homeowners. “People like the look of a “found” piece that adds an eclectic and vintage or rustic touch,” says Normandy Designer Kathryn O’Donovan, “It makes a space more interesting while not tying it to one specific style.”
O’Donovan recently created a modern kitchen space and incorporated a refrigerator that imitates the look of a vintage armoire. “In order to work with the contemporary style of home, we needed to pull in an eclectic element to not make the modern nature of the kitchen too pronounced,” commented O’Donovan.
